2009 saw the year of the woman Nadia Khan, Florence Welsh and LaRoux all rose to prominence and became the hot ticket at any festival worth mentioning. But they were joined by my current style crush Shingai Shoniwa, lead singer of the indie troupe The Noisettes. Her creative falir is a sensational mesh up of colour, street style and glamour. Id love to take some inspiration from her style but im not sure if the this look was meant for sharing, its the kind of style thats completly inexplicable but makes perfect sense at the same time. A bit like Kate Moss easy to admire hard to pull off. And that hair. As a fan of big hair no one comes close to Shoniwa at the moment rocking out in her afro bouffant do. Rock, punk, ethnic, ska thats how she does it the womans definetly found her niche.
